Privacy Policy

This is the privacy policy for The Nail Haven,  you can email me at nailhaven@outlook.com. This privacy policy explains how I use any personal information I collect about you, and why I collect it.  I need the same information for students as I do for clients.  This is because students will have treatments carried out on them during training.

What Information Do I Need?

I need your contact details such as your: name, phone number, address, postcode and email address. I will also need information about your age and health in order for a treatment to go ahead.

Why Do I Need It, How Will I Use It and How Long Will I Retain It?

I need all the details above in order to ensure that I can provide you with a safe service, making any adaptions necessary.  It is also a requirement of my insurance to collect this information, in order to show I am taking the necessary precautions to work safely.

I will store your information for 7 years after the date of your treatment, or for 7 years after you have reached the age of 18 if you are/were under 18 when your treatment took place.

My lawful basis for processing this personal information is ‘contract’, this means that I have a legal reason to ask you for your data because I need it for contractual reasons.

You do not have to share your personal data with me, but if you do not I cannot offer you treatment. You must fulfil your side of the contract (share your personal information) in order for me to fulfil mine (carry out treatment, this includes treatments carried out during student training).

Will I Share Your Information?

I will not share client information without your consent with anyone outside of my business, unless requested by law enforcement agencies.

Occasionally, with your permission, I may discuss your case with a mentor, to ensure I am providing you with the best treatment, or for advice on additional elements that may be of benefit to you, in this instance no personal or identifiable details will be revealed.

The only instance in which I may break confidentiality is if I deem there to be a safeguarding issue whereby I feel that you or another person are in serious danger, in this instance I am required to report it to the relevant authorities.
